Cape Town Office Clare Ballard was appointed in July 2014, having spent several years doing research work in the fields of penology and constitutional law at the Community Law Centre, UWC.
She is a graduate of the University of Cape Town (BA, LLB) and of Cornell University (LLM). She is also a former clerk of the Constitutional Court.
